How do we approach a project from an idea and all the way to construction?
What can we do to help build your brand and enhance your establishment experience?
And, why would you hand a project to an offshore design studio like ours?
Research.
This is essentially an information gathering and processing phase, this is usually what we do before we start the design.
We started by asking the right question that got us to know the client more and understand his vision clearer.
In this phase also we went through a research phase for nearby competitors, target customer, tenant restrictions, budget, schedule and much more.
Concept + Schematic Design.
One concept to rule them all.
In these phase we were set to look for an idea that governs the whole project, that made choosing between alternatives much easier.
A very important part at this stage is defining our key moments and designing around it, the customer experience when stepping into the space for instance, when choosing his side pastry or when sitting sipping his freshly brewed coffee.
Design Development.
This is where the project started to take shape into something digitally real and tangible.
With the aid of 3D software and a skilled team behind it, we put these moments together and turned them into scenes that helped our client visualize the space with clearer understanding.
At this moment, we started to discuss budget, contractors, suppliers and accordingly - some - design modifications, Only some!
Construction Documents.
Here we set all of the information about the design into a detailed set of drawings and specifications that was used for pricing and during construction.
Think of it as an instructions manual.
We use BIM software ( building information modeling ) fully from project start to end, this creates an accurate transition from visual images and into a detailed set of drawings.
In-House Manufacturing + Supply
This beautiful ceiling and lighting installation is one of the project pieces designed and manufactured within our studio ecosystem in Egypt.
When it comes to designing and building things, we’re meticulous - often irritating - which is why our clients entrust us with manufacturing pieces of their project knowing that it would turn out as intended.
Another thing to take advantage of is our location that comes with a reduced cost in material and labor when it comes to manufacturing.
Remote Project Administration.
At this stage, we strongly recommend to be involved in the process, Not only does it ensure that all of the hard work we put in designing your vision is executed properly and according to the drawings we crafted, but we also find that it holds the Contractor and other key parties to a higher standard of quality.
At this stage, we were exchanging and finalizing samples, requesting prices, following up with suppliers, monitoring site development and contractor’s performance, clarifications and rejection of work when needed.
We also had an influence in the direction of branding design to achieve a result that was consistent with the customer experience and space design.
